Brooks gets certificate of appreciation from FSA

EASTON, Md. — John Burtman, the acting executive director of the Talbot Farm Service Agency recently presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Roy Brooks for his longtime service to the Talbot Farm Service Agency.
“Mr. Brooks has served the Talbot agricultural community for three years as a committee member,” Burtman said. “In the short time I have known Mr. Brooks, I found him to be very knowledgeable about Talbot agriculture and a fair and responsible member.”
While Brooks will be missed as a committee member, he is being replaced by another very knowledgeable farmer from the Trappe area, John Sewell.
Sewell was scheduled to begin his service on Jan. 1.
He joins Ed Heikes and Helen Schwarten on the 2008 Talbot County Committee.
