SNA showcases horticulture

SNA 2005… The World’s Showcase of Horticulture, the Southeast’s most prominent and successful horticultural trade show, will be held Aug. 11 through 13 at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Ga.
Open only to members of the horticulture industry, the show draws more than 12,000 industry professionals in search of anything related to the industry – container plants, equipment, irrigation products and much more – showcased in more than 10 acres at the three-day show.
Educational opportunities available at the Annual Trade Show and Convention include TechShop, the FloralWorld Educational Track, the SNA Research Conference and the SNA WorldStage.
Special sections include:

• ColorWorld — Co-Sponsored by OFA – an Association of Floriculture Professionals in cooperation with Southeast Greenhouse Conference and Greenhouse Grower Magazine, ColorWorld’s 8,800 square feet of displays feature bedding plants, annuals and perennials.
• EquipmentWorld — Offered in cooperation with NMPRO Magazine, 21,600 square feet of display space features innovative equipment and tools for production, installation and maintenance.
• FloralWorld — Co-sponsored by OFA in cooperation with Florists’ Review Publishing, this emphasis offers three days of education, symposium-style design shows and workshops and 11,200 square feet of exhibits featuring retail florist products and supplies
• FoliageWorld — Offered in cooperation with Interiorscape Magazine, 3,500 square feet is will be filled with brilliant tropical color and vibrant foliage as well as interiorscape supplies, air plants and cacti.
• RetailWorld — Presented in cooperation with Nursery Retailer Magazine, exhibitors in 22,000 square feet will display retail-ready garden gifts, visual merchandising, POP and POS.
• WaterWorld — Presented in cooperation with Water Garden News Magazine, 16,300 square feet will be dedicated to ponds, fish & fish supplies, aquatic plants, irrigation tools and water gardening supplies.
Sixteen participating state associations will hold meetings. The Maryland Nursery and Landscape Association will meet Aug. 12 from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis’ Savoy Room. For information on that meeting, call Vanessa Finney at (410) 823-8684.
