Cougle named 2007 N. Jersey Agricultural Fair Ambassador

12.01.2006

TRENTON — Emma Cougle, a 17-year-old honor student from Hackettstown High School in Hackettstown, Warren County, was recently crowned the 2007 New Jersey Agricultural Fair Ambassador by the Agricultural Fair Association of New Jersey.
Cougle has been active in 4-H for 10 years and is the current president of the Warren County 4-H Club.
An accomplished equestrian, she is this year’s Warren County 4-H Equestrian of the Year and an active member of the New England Area Side Saddle Association, named one of the top juniors on the East Coast.
Emma works as a caretaker of a sheep, goat, dog and miniature horse breeding barn and the caretaker of 15 horses and two cows at a private stable. She also breeds Labrador Retrievers.
Emma is in Tri-M, the music national honor society and sings the National Anthem at sporting events and other school functions.
This is the fourth year the Agricultural Fair Association of New Jersey has crowned an ambassador.
In choosing an ambassador, the Association seeks a good representation of young people active in agriculture in the Garden State and their county fair.
In her new position, Cougle will visit county fairs, assist in judging and presenting ribbons and attend other community events.
